Sometimes nowadays I feel as if I am thinking more left or my thoughts radicalised towards one side.
Now if thought about perspective/referential point on the basis of different ideologies,
Centre is always left to right.Reference, perspective matter here at this point.
Right~ capitalist...
All these isms have their pros and cons. (isms == ideologies) They all have different ethics. Purpose of every "ism" is different as well.
Let's say capitalism, the main aim is to gain more and more profit rather than people's welfare.
Another one socialism /communism, here social welfare is the most prior thing for any government. Policies of the nation are more tilted towards the welfare of people rather than money enrichment of capitalists.
Now thinking about the condition in India?
We have a mixed economy, neither capitalist nor communist.
Example for pure capitalist might be the United States and that for communist might be Russia.
So now what's being rational?
Rational doesn't mean being neutral. Actually being neutral is not possible as said earlier. As per me, rationalism means thinking about something from all perspective; and then creating views about the thing, person or incident.
This means simply one perspective is not enough to understand the theory, to judge the person or to comment on incident whether its right or wrong.
Speaking about "right or wrong" it needs to believe that this particular theory is right.
One thing that I have widely observed in the community around me is that "People judge the personality" or rather I would say, "They are made to judge the personality the way one group or group of individuals want".This is more widely spread and is being executed on the very high scale because of social media and its penetration into people's lives (since morning till midnight), it's thoughts persuasive abilities (as what you read, watch shapes your thoughts, perspective), it's radicalised social engineering experiments and much more.
Now if you think I am wrong, you can watch "the great hack"on Netflix which has exposed Cambridge Analytica collecting thousands of data points on every individual voter in the US.
In simple words, what's being rational, while judging the personalities, incidents, policies, the government, etc. all perspectives need to be considered. Finally, I would say, "I am neither tilted towards a left ideology or right ideology, but I am trying to be a rationalist."
