Book Name: मी अल्बर्ट एलिस
Writer: albert ellis
Translated in Marathi by Dr. Anjali Joshi
The book connects the youth as it tackles with the daily questions that youth generally faces.
The great book, as per me.
Some thoughts include:
1. Your parents are not responsible for development in the childhood. It's upon the baby how he develops himself.
2. There are some situations in life which make you angry. If we basically thought about this, this anger is caused by actions caused your thoughts ultimately resulting into your suffering
So what if we could, control our thoughts in such situation, thus controlling our actions and reducing the consequences thereafter.
3. In the situations where you cannot control the situation due to pressure by external entities, think what thing you can do for the betterment of situation or for better utilisation of time.
4. Fears: Created by our thoughts, our thinking and ultimately frightening us only. So what we can do, change the way you think fear will never be there in your way.
Eg. Fear of learning
5. The ultimate thing which control your feelings, emotions, the way you feel about the others, is yours thoughts, the way you interpret and process (think) about particular situation, and the image of that particular person in your mind.
6. It might be possible that you are ignoring the particular person simply because of his one quality / particular incidents behaviour/ aspect of his personality, but the thing is that you could better live by not judging the same person and live more happily.
7. The books, it's great to read the books but the important aspect is that how much you think about it and adopt in your life.
8. Also, the explanation of harmonal changes in boys/girls in the age of puberty is great.
9. The thing which I like the most in it is, whenever Albert has any questions in mind about any particular thing, he used to dig deep into the subject and take more information and then and then only he considered that he know the subject. (Obviously not he referred books.)
This is first part of review, I am still reading, how do you feel about the book?
