First thing that I want to tell make clear is that, "Drawing is not necessary to design something."i.e. you need not to be creative, creativity can be induced.
Why design?
A lot of ideas appear in your mind regarding designs like this could have been better this way but we just let it go. Sometimes new ideas popup we just ignore them.
To explore this undefined boundaries of your creativity and to reach beyond the limits of general train you need to be creative. Just in fact that you haven't explored your creativity.

Basic requirements of design:
poster size:
What's the size? wheather it's A2, A3 or any other size as per requirement like 8 by 10 inch.
Purpose:
For what purpose the design is being made?
What are the things that it needs to depect?
What are the viewers will came across after seeing that design?
What are the things that it needs to depect?

Colour Design:
Beware of use of colour may badly ruin or greatly enhance the design.Refer colour theory for this.

Fonts in Design::
For fonts use google to search for particular font.
Download ttf files for font. Install it and now you can use it in your design.
